“IMAGINE…as we grow together” was a total success!  I write to extend my sincere and heartfelt gratitude to the scores of current and former community members and friends of BFS that gathered on Friday night for a memorable evening of fun, friendship, food, and fundraising. 

Due to the pandemic, we have been unable to gather as a community for three years!  The feeling in the room on Friday night was deeply meaningful to experience – our community at its best – joyful, supportive, uplifting, caring, and fun!

Special thanks go to Auction Chair Sabrina Liddell and Auction Committee members Amy Bohn, Gary Brackenridge, Christine Godshall, Widgette Kelly, Karen Kemp, Colleen Kulzer,  Anne Monoky, Kate Mulligan,  and DeeDee Snyder for their creativity, countless hours of planning, and work. 

We can all be beyond grateful for Director of Advancement Katelynn Connolly for her inspiring vision, tireless dedication and work, keen attention to every detail, and focused leadership and energy throughout the pandemic and this year. 

The purpose of the Financial Aid Fund at Buckingham Friends School is to ensure that current and prospective children have the opportunity to attend the School

regardless of financial circumstances, that the School lives its mission, and that enrollment remains strong. 

Currently, BFS provides financial aid to over a third of its 170 students, and we remain committed to maintaining vigorous academic and programmatic standards while seeking a diverse and talented student population. 

A diverse community impacts and enhances the quality of the educational experience for all of our students, and a strong and well-supported financial aid fund is essential to achieving these goals. 

All proceeds from “IMAGINE…as we grow together” will directly benefit the School’s Financial Aid Fund. 

Everyone’s support on Friday will help sustain our community.

To all of our sponsors, everyone who attended, and each and every amazing bidder and paddle raiser, thank you for your generosity and support – our expectations were exceeded. 

It was BFS at its best – simply extraordinary.  I am enthusiastic to share that we surpassed our goal (by far!) for the BFS Financial Aid Fund.
